Dr. Laura Hanson is a board-certified geriatric pharmacist with deep expertise across clinical, academic, managed care, and entrepreneurial settings. A graduate of Midwestern University College of Pharmacy–Glendale, she completed a PGY1 acute care residency with Scottsdale Healthcare and a PGY2 ambulatory/acute care/academia residency with Banner Health + Midwestern University. Her passion for serving older adults and advancing the pharmacy profession has shaped a career that blends direct patient care with research, teaching, and mentorship.
Currently, Dr. Hanson serves as a preceptor and quality assurance site visitor for the experiential education department at Midwestern University. In this role, she helps shape the next generation of pharmacists by evaluating training sites and mentoring both students and residents. She also delivers lectures on specialized clinical topics and contributes to clinical and academic research focused on improving care for complex, aging populations.
