Dr. Janki Patel is an accomplished pharmaceutical professional with expertise in Global Medical Information and U.S. Medical Affairs. She began her career as a post-doctoral fellow at Merck, focusing on medical information, and currently serves as an Associate Scientific Director, Medical Affairs Strategy at AbbVie. Her experience spans multiple therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders, and oncology (solid tumors and hematologic malignancies).
Dr. Patel completed the Rutgers University Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program in collaboration with Merck in 2021. During her fellowship, she earned a Teaching and Learning Certificate, served as an APPE preceptor, and played an active role in fellowship recruitment—interviewing candidates and helping select future fellows.
In her current role at AbbVie, Dr. Patel leads and contributes to:
