Dr. Angelica Asadi is a pharmacist with a strong background in managed care and a passion for improving patient outcomes through thoughtful, data-driven pharmacy services. After graduating from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, Dr. Asadi completed a PGY1 Managed Care Pharmacy Residency at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 2020. She also earned a Master of Health Administration (MHA), which helped bridge the gap between clinical practice and healthcare leadership.

 

Dr. Asadi began her career as a Health Plan Pharmacist at a Medicare Advantage Health Plan before advancing into leadership roles focusing on Medicare Part D Operations. In this capacity, she led a team that was responsible for monitoring all internal and vendor activities and ensuring pharmacy benefit compliance and patient satisfaction.

 

Her deep regulatory knowledge and strategic oversight led her to establish the first Medicare Utilization Management department at a startup Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM), where she was instrumental in creating a strong foundation for regulatory compliant reviews.

 

Dr. Asadi continues to stay active in the pharmacy community through involvement with the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP), where she most recently served as the Southwest Affiliate President ('24-'25).
